Rescue FAQs

Easthaven Dog Rescue is a small rescue organization and shelter. We rescue homeless, neglected, abused and/or abandoned pets, mainly from the Easthaven subdivision. We also have a program called "Shelter in Place." Shelter in Place assists people who currently own pets but want to give up their pets because of problems. We help solve the problems, allowing the owners to keep their pet. Some of the problems we help with include: owner can't afford vaccines or medical treatment, training and socialization problems, containment issues (no fence or fence needs repair), and other problems. We like to teach people what their pets need. Feel free to call or write if you have any pet questions.

Donations of cash or supplies are always appreciated. We would welcome volunteers who would help bathe or walk dogs.
We are located in Houston, near Hobby Airport.

Additional adoption info

Potential adopters must submit an application and be approved. If a pet is adopted, an adoption agreement must be signed. A home visit is required before the adoption is finalized. An adoption fee is required.
