Rescue FAQs

PuRRS is a very small organization, run by cat fanciers who are concerned that pedigreed cats be rescued when they are in trouble. We also help domestics as space, time, and funds are available. We have a special emphasis on several specific breeds including but not limited to the Turkish Angora and some others. See our website for more information. Cats in our care are usually from shelters that have asked for help in alleviating their crowded spaces. These cats are fostered in our members' homes to evaluate their behavior in a home, spayed or neutered, vetted, and ready for love!
Although located in central Ohio, PuRRS will serve cats in other areas near our foster homes, including out-of-state areas.

Additional adoption info

Please contact us at the main contact to receive an e-mailed application. Once an application is received and approved, an adoption contract will be signed, the adoption fee paid, and the cat you have adopted will join you and your family! Our fees are always quoted in the description of each cat on the Adopt-a-Pet site.

Although we still do some rescue work, our director is semi-retired. We no longer take tax deductible donations.
