Death Row Doggies - Weakley Co.

Death Row Doggies is a group of concerned individuals who want to try help with an out-of-control pet population in Weakley County, Tennessee, and to keep dogs from being killed at the pound. We are working to help the pounds and shelters in our area by encouraging people to adopt from them. Thousands of dogs that have come to the shelters in Weakley County in the last year have ended up having to be put down. Our hope is to prevent that this year.

We are also working with the community in trying to rehome their dogs when situations arise that prevent them from keeping them. We don't want these dogs to end up at a shelter or dumped in the country somewhere. We want people to know there is help out there and that we will help them to find it. We can't work miracles and we can't personally take in every dog that needs a home, but if a person is willing to work with us then we will help them in finding a home for their dog.

Additional adoption info

n order to be considered for adoption, you must be 18+ years of age, have the knowledge and consent of all adults living in your household, have a valid ID with current address, have landlord's name and telephone number (or lease) and understand that Death Row Doggies must approve your application.

Tennessee Law requires that all dogs adopted through a pound or rescue be spayed or neutered within 30 days. Even though we are not officially a shelter, we require that all dogs adopted through us will be spayed or neutered within this same timeframe and my require proof upon request.

Our fee for adopting is $30, plus the cost of any vetting (at minimum will include spay/neuter and rabies). Heart worm test will be performed if requested (at the expense of the adopter). This enables us keep our adoption fees to a minimum. All dogs have received vaccines against Parvo, distemper and Bordetella.
