To adopt a pet from the Shelter:
1. Visit the center during business hours (Monday through Friday, 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.)
2. Select an animal
3. Complete the brief paperwork. You can download and print a copy of the adoption contract here: http://www.johnstonnc.com/ac_files/shelteradoptionform.pdf
4. Pay the fee.

We welcome all inquiries and individuals interested in adopting a pet.

If you see an animal on our web pages that you are interested in, please contact the Shelter as soon as possible. We endeavor to keep adoptable pets as long as possible, but often they do not stay more than 10 days.
