Rescue FAQs

Welcome to H.O.L.D. Pet Rescue, Inc., where the life of every dog matters. We are a small, non-profit animal rescue organization located in Cameron Park, California (Northern California). Our organization consists of all volunteers. We rescue small dogs (generally weighing under 15 pounds) from area shelters. We typically focus on pulling dogs that are in danger of being euthanized and / or dogs that have been placed into shelters due to neglect or abandonment. After rescuing a dog from a shelter, the dog is medically examined by a licensed veterinarian and treated (if necessary). Each adoptable dog is vaccinated, spayed or neutered and microchipped (spay / neuter arrangements may differ if you are adopting a puppy). Only after providing these services do we begin our search for qualified homes.
Our organization serves the Northern and Central California, we also network with surrounding areas. We rescue small dogs (typically under 15 pounds) from shelters and subsequently find them forever homes. We offer discounted adoption fees to seniors :)

Additional adoption info

(1) Meet and greet adoptable pet, (2) Complete adoption application, (3) Short interview, (4) Schedule home visit, (5) Complete adoption agreement and pay adoption fee at which time your new furry family member becomes part of your family. It may sound like alot of work, however, it is a relatively quick process.
