Shelter FAQs

We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to the welfare of animals with a 'No-Kill' policy. Our efforts are focused primarily on finding loving homes for the many cats that are strays, abused, abandoned, surrendered or impounded. All animals are given medical attention, spay/neutered, tested for FeLV & FIV, and vaccinated before placement. We are a 100% volunteer based shelter, dedicated to helping homeless cats find their forever families.

Additional adoption info

Upon arrival, visitors and prospective adopters can meet dozens of cats! Kittens are mostly in foster homes and appointments are made to meet them once an application is approved.

Adoption donation rates can be found at the bottom of this page on our website: https://www.ctcatconnection.org/adoption-information

Many cats can be adopted the same day someone meets them; plan for 1-2 hours on site to process the adoption.

We accept cash, check and credit card. Donations may also be made from Facebook, Donorbox https://donorbox.org/connecticut-cat-connection-fund, or Venmo (@ctcatconnection)
