Rescue FAQs

Ellis Rescue Group is an indie rescue that saves homeless & abandoned dogs from high-kill shelters in the Los Angeles area, and find them permanent and loving homes. We rely on volunteers to help us foster dogs, assist at adoption events, and provide transport. We are self-funded and rely on contributions and donations to keep our organization running.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process includes an application, an interview and a home check to ensure the home is safe and secure for the animal. Typical adoption fee is $250-300. Adoption fees are tax-deductible and help us support animals in our care.
