Our goal is to have a brief, yet accurate, adoption process.
If you have an interest in a pet, please contact us. We will be happy to answer questions and hopefully meet the pet.
We have an online application which takes 15 minutes to complete. We ask for a vet reference, living situation, and a list of current pets.
We send a letter to your home address, to verify you live there. We contact the vet. The application can be verified in one or two days.
We trust that most people who want to adopt are good pet parents, but we also take the welfare of pets seriously.
We do not have home inspections, but we do like to bring the pet to your home. All pets must be indoor, family pets. The single exception may be barn cats. We have not had barn cats to date, but we will require these cats to receive medical care, provided food, water, and shelter.
Our adoption fee for all dogs and cats is $75. All dogs and cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, vaccinated for rabies and core vaccines, tested for heartworm (dogs), tested for FeLV / FIV (cats) as appropriate.

What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?
When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.
So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
