Rescue FAQs

We are a dedicated group of Australian Shepherd owners and lovers. We feel the Aussie is a one of a kind breed, that is often misunderstood, and many times made a pet for all the wrong reasons. We want to rescue them, retrain them, find families that will understand and work with them as well as help the public understand better the breed that we love.
Aussie Rescue Midwest is a Not-For-Profit breed rescue. We save Australian Shepherds, Mini's and special need Aussies, as well as Aussie mixes. We rescue and adopt Aussies in Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Kentucky, and Missouri.

Additional adoption info

All adopters must complete an application and be approved to adopt. The adoption fees range from $200 to $350 depending on age of the Aussie.
