Rescue FAQs

We are a VERY small group of volunteers dedicated to saving dogs who are at high risk of being euthanized due to shelter overcrowding. We work with trusted contacts to rescue dogs from municipal pounds and shelters before their time is up and bring them to their temporary foster homes in Vermont. From here, we work to find the perfect homes for these dogs and give them a second chance at life.
We operate out of Burlington, Vermont, but travel all over the state (and beyond!) to find our wonderful dogs a new home.

Additional adoption info

We require that an adoption application be completed prior to any meeting. Once the application has been reviewed/approved, we will set up a meeting with the potential adopter and adoptee, and if a match is made, a $250 adoption fee is required along with a completed adoption agreement. This fee covers the cost of the dog's spay/neuter operation, all vaccinations and veterinary care, and feeding and daily care while in a foster home.
