Rescue FAQs

Mainely Dog Rescue is a new foster based rescue. We are very small and are striving for success in helping dogs in need of good homes. We are always looking for good fosters in the northern area to help us care for our precious babies while awaiting those perfect homes. Rescuing dogs in need is never a cheap or easy process, let us remind folks that every donation sent goes directly to caring for our dogs and every adoption saves more lives. We are also committed to spread awareness and promoting the importance of responsible pet ownership, vaccinating, spay/neuter, positive behavior training, and good nutrition.
We rescue dogs from Tennessee death row shelters, provide quality medical care and professional transportation to Maine. We do adopt to all new england states including Maine, and New Hampshire areas.

Additional adoption info

The standard adoption fee is $395.00 this includes spay/neuter, multiple series of vaccinations, Rabies, Bordetella, Fecal and parvo testing, Multiple deworming, 4dx test, heartworm and flea and tick prevention, and an interstate health certificate, and transport to New England by a professional transport company.

MDR does require an application for adoption, this includes permission to contact the potential adopters vet and personal references.

MDR requires a home visit before adoption is completed.

MDR requires an adoption contract upon completion of the adoption.

Please allow 2-3 business days for response.
