The first step is to fill out an Adoption Application either by visiting www.ecgrr and filling out the online adoption application or by printing it out and mailing to the address listed.

A volunteer with ECGRR will contact the applicant and discuss the home visit procedure, vet reference check and talk about the right dog that might fit with the applicants lifestyle.

IMPORTANT: Due to safety concerns, we are unable to adopt dogs to families with children under the age of 6 years old.

Also, ECGRR requires all of their rescued dogs be kept as pets and become indoor dogs.

We have implemented a "recommended donation structure" as information for potential adopters. These amounts are negotiable, but serve to provide a ballpark figure. Please remember, donations and fund raisers are the sole income for our organization. All funds are used exclusively in returning these gentle animals to good health and finding appropriate homes. All of our members volunteer their time and transportation services and we receive no compensation.

All adoption contributions include spay or neuter and all vaccinations as of the adoption date. ECGRR will disclose any known health issues before adoption.

Our 2011 average expenditure on each rescued dog taken into our program was $320, with 97% of the monies being used for medically treating these surrendered and homeless dogs including heartworm treatment and spay/neutering.
