Rescue FAQs

League City Pets Alive is a 100% volunteer non-profit supporting the "NO KILL " initiative of the League City Community. Our mission is to stop animal shelters from euthanizing or releasing to the streets, friendly cats, as they are doing now.
To enlighten the public about the differences between Nonprofit low cost spay/neuter/wellness vet clinics and For-profit full service vet hospitals. Each provides a needed service the public needs to know the difference.

Adoption steps

  1. Visit the Facility and Find a Pet
    1. Visit our adoptable cats/kittens at one of six pet supply stores including PETCO, PetSmart, and Pet Supplies Plus
  2. Submit Application

      Most applications are same day response.
  3. Meet the Pet
    1. Confirm you've met your match with hands on meet and greet.
  4. Sign Adoption Contract
    1. All adoption documents and payment are electronically processed and signed. Most adoptions are same day.
  5. Take the Pet Home
    1. Typically you are able to take your new friend home the same day depending on the time of day and volunteers schedules.

Additional adoption info

We make the process easy and quick. Adoption fee includes spaying/neutering, rabies vaccination, other standard vaccinations, treatment for intestinal parasites, flea prevention, and microchip.
