Rescue FAQs

We believe pet overpopulation, their relinquishment to shelters, and subsequent euthanization of these animals are preventable problems with a rational solution~SPAY and NEUTER! We volunteer at spay/neuter clinics around the world but mostly on First Nations, we raise funds and collect supplies necessary for these clinics to continue. GALS takes in urgent dogs and cats through requests from shelters and owner surrenders; they are spayed/neutered/vaccinated prior to adoption. We are a 100% volunteer-run organization and rely completely on fundraising events/adoptions fees. We do not receive any government assistance. All donations go directly toward the care of the animals in foster homes and used for veterinary care, spaying/neutering/vaccinations, food and other supplies/expenses.

Additional adoption info

Please take a few minutes to fill out the fields below if you are interested in adopting an animal from Global Animal Lovers. Please understand that we are all volunteers and will do our best to get back to you as quickly as possible, however this could take 24-48 hrs.
Once your application is reviewed and references are checked, we will arrange for a meeting between you and the adoptable animal. We may request this visit to be at your home to make sure this is the ‘right fit’. Please note upon adoption, an adoption contract and payment of the applicable adoption fee is required (cash or cheque made out to Global Animal Lovers).
Dogs or Puppies – $200
Cats or kittens – $100
Please note that the adoption fee simply helps us to care for the animals in our care. These fees do not even cover the initial veterinary costs for the animals that we rescue. The adoption fee includes the spay or neuter surgery, and some vaccinations. The adoptive family is responsible for vaccinations that come due after the adoption is completed, which can include on-going treatment for minor ailments such as worms.
