Rescue FAQs
Salem Dogs has a focus on "special needs" dogs. These can be seniors, overweight dogs, or dogs recovering from medical issues. This often means that financial considerations are important.
All cities and towns in Marion, Polk, Linn Counties in Oregon. Also, we have adopted out dogs to people much further way (Canada, etc.) using a local group for home visit if we feel the need to.
Additional adoption info
There is no application form to fill out. Phone interviews will start the process. If the interview is promising for a match, we arrange for a meet/greet in neutral territory. If all is well, we have an adoption contract to be completed at that time. Adoption fee is $200.
