All of our animals are listed on Petfinder.com. If you would like to meet with one of our adoptable pets please email mary_dana@hotmail.com or call 660-227-9445. For every animal adopted we can rescue another in need and start training and medical evaluation.

Mary is the creator of 4 Paws of the 4 States. She has attended 3 semesters of the Veterinary Technology Program at Crowder College. She has worked with rescue organizations since 2007 and loved animals since childhood. We are always in need of donations. 4 Paws is a non-profit incorporation recognized by the state of Missouri. We have been inspected by the Department of Agriculture and approved as an animal care facility. One of our goals is to help homeless animals become a part of loving families forever. Another is to make sure that all animals adopted from us are spayed/ neutered to decrease animal over- population. We also help speak out for animals against their mistreatment. Our pets are kept in foster homes so that they become accustomed to living in a home and receive the training and attention they need until finding their forever homes.

Why should you adopt?
Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life.
What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?
When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.
So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
