Rescue FAQs

We are an all volunteer organization that is rescuing labradors and giant breed dogs. The majority of our dogs come from owners, so we get as much information and history on each dog. Each dog is placed in a foster home prior to adoption. Each dog has a vet check and vaccinations prior to adoption. We also include a heartworm check.
We are a Phoenix based rescue group, but intake and adopt anywhere within the state of Arizona.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process requires the completion of an Adoption Application which can be downloaded from our website www.azlabsandgiants.org. The adopter is then contacted to do a home visit. The purpose of this is for the rescue to get a good understanding as to what an adopter is looking for in a dog and to try to find the best fit for the adopter and the dog. Once a home visit is approved, we work to get adopters meeting our dogs. There is a small home visit fee and an adoption fee, which is based on whether it is a puppy or not and whether it is a lab or a giant breed. The adoption fees are on the adoption application as well as our website.
