Rescue FAQs

We are a 501(C)3 non profit, spay/neuter/rescue of primarily dogs. We are located in middle Tennessee. After years of assisting area animals privately, we acquired a non profit status to show our commitment to the spay, neuter efforts. We provide transportation and assistance with fees to local residents, to help accomplish our mission. The adoption fees we charge allow us to continue with our endeavors. By adopting from Have A Heart Inc. you help out many animals besides the one you bring home. We, like many counties have no animal related services. Therefore, we reach out to the community for donations and volunteers. We rescue animals into our foster home network, training, rehabilitating each animal according to its needs, before finding its perfect forever home. We strive to educate our critters to help them fit in without stress with their new families, ie: socialization, leash, house, and basic training techniques. We believe this is a WORLD WIDE challenge and we need everyone's help to get it accomplish the task.
We serve all areas, in and out of the state of Tennessee.

Additional adoption info

Fees start at $125.00. We base our fees on the animals needs and requirements, transport etc.

We require a signed adoption contract agreeing with all terms. We strive to have the contract approved within 3 days from time received.

We require the animal be returned to us if for any reason it cannot be kept according to the terms agreed upon. We will consider allowing re-homing to an another family member but this decision will be made by us- after screening the person/persons suggested.

Please allow 24-48 hours to return any calls or emails. Average time is 6 hours.
We're very busy here training these sweet pups and dogs. Thank you for your patience and consideration.
