Shelter FAQs

Schererville Animal Control is located in Schererville Indiana in Lake County. We are a facility where we house the stray animal that were found and picked up within our town limits. Our first priority is to find the animals owner and get them back home. If we do not find the owner we do a 5 days stray hold. Once the stray hold is up the animal will be available for adoption through our facilty.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption fee is $65. This includes rabies, distemper, spay/neuter, and a microchip. Heartworm test is done for dogs and FIV/FELV test is done for cats.
