Rescue FAQs

My name is Nicole Tarbuck, and I am the founder of Rescued Rosies Tarantula Rescue. I have been a tarantula enthusiast since 2000, and currently have both a personal tarantula collection, as well as those that I rescue. I take in unwanted and surrendered tarantulas of every kind. After holding them for a period of one month to assess their temperament, health, and gender (if they have molted in that time), I place them on the available adoption list. I do this out of the kindness of my heart, out of my home, and have wanted to give back to the community in doing something charitable for some time. This is my passion, and I am only too happy to educate and share it with you.

Additional adoption info

In order to adopt a tarantula from Rescued Rosies Tarantula Rescue, an adoption contract must be filled out and submitted. Potential adopters will be required to demonstrate an understanding of the tarantula's care requirements. There is an adoption fee of $12. This adoption fee helps to support the rescue, and covers your new tarantula and its care kit. This care kit will include a secure enclosure, a water dish, substrate, something to hide in, and a care sheet explaining your tarantula's simple needs. If at any time you have any questions, consider yourself invited to inquire even after adoption for the tarantula's entire life span!
