Rescue FAQs

We are a relatively young but determined rescue. As the founder, I owned my first pair of Great Pyrenees for 14 years. After they both passed I adopted another Pyr from a rescue. From there, I started to do foster work for that rescue through my pet resort and spa that I own and operate. Seeing the need, last year I founded my own rescue and have continued to grow since then. We are trying to grow and develop our rescue with the intention of becoming a midwest regional rescue. We are currently trying to expand our foster program to meet these needs.
Our non-profit Rescue is located in rural Cambridge, Illinois, just north of historical Bishop Hill. Our mission is to rescue Great Pyrenees and Great Pyrenees mixes and place them into the forever loving homes that they deserve. We are working towards becoming a midwest region rescue as our foster program grows.

Additional adoption info

All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, heartworm tested, vaccinated against Bordetella, DHLP and Rabies, as well as microchipped prior to adoption. We require a $250 adoption fee that will partially recover our expenses. We do require that an adoption application be filled out and submitted. Upon receipt we will check veterinary and personal references and then schedule a home visit. *A fenced in yard is required, no invisible fencing is permitted.
