Additional adoption info
The first step in our adoption process is for the potential adoptive person to submit an Application to Adopt which is available on our website. A telephone interview is conducted and references are checked. A home visit is performed prior to the adoption to determine a safe environment for a rescue Maltese. An appointment is scheduled for the interested family to meet the rescue dog. If all parties agree that the adoptive family and rescue dog are good match, then the adoption is finalized with the payment of the adoption fee. All medical records and shot records are given to the adoptive family
