Rescue FAQs

WE are a new non profit rescue, we do not yet have our 501c3 status, but are hoping to accomplish this soon.  We rescue all sizes and breeds of dogs primarily from kill shelters. We rehabilitate, train, provide them with love, care and medical treatments, then find the perfect match for dog and new owner.  We strive to find a great match for dog and new owners, mostly this is based on personality matches, experience, and lifestyles. We provide follow-up training if needed at no additional cost.  We do this because we realize the transition to a new home can sometimes be challenging for dog and owner and we want our pups to have happy forever homes. Adopting a dog is a big decision/responsibility and should be carefully thought of by each family member.
Almost anywhere as long as a match, fully approved and adopter picks up dog here in Red Buff, CA

Additional adoption info

How our adoption process works:
- E-mail us for a online application or see our website at code3k9rescue.org
-Once we receive your application we will e-mail you back to let you know that we received it .
We will then review your application which can take about 2 days, and someone will contact you either by phone or e-mail.
-To get approved your Vet references need to check out, meaning that you took prev. pets or current pets to the Vet for at least their Rabies shots, showing that you're a responsible pet owner.
-Then we will set up a physical home or apartment check (or get pictures from you), someone will come to your home, check the fencing, place the dog will sleep, meet all family members, that is to assure us that the animal will be safe and live happily ever after.
-Once the home check is approved, you can then come meet your "dream dog" and take him/her home with you, after signing adoption contract
paying the required adoption fee, which is $200 for most dogs. This covers spay/nueter, vaccinations, food, ect. We do have reduced fees for senior pets and special cases.
