Island Puppy Rescue is a small group of volunteers that facilitate the transport and adoption of puppies from the Caribbean Island of Anguilla and/or other islands. We work with Anguilla Animal Rescue Foundation (www.aarf.ai) to find permanent loving homes for those animals in need.
All puppies/dogs are vetted before leaving the island and once they are in NJ. All are given age appropriate vaccinations, worming treatments and flea and tick preventative. All puppies/dogs live in foster homes, we do not have a shelter facility. Puppies under six months old are adopted out with a contract stating that the adopter is to have the puppy altered at 6 months of age and provide proof to Island Puppy Rescue of surgery. At that time Island Puppy Rescue will reimburse the adopter $50.00. Puppies over the age of 6 months are spayed or neutered prior to adoption.
Create an alert, and we'll notify you every time a new pet comes in who meets your criteria.

Island Puppy Rescue is not limited to particular towns, we will adopt out of state as well as in NJ.
Additional adoption info
An application must be submitted via email. If the application is approved, the applicant will be contacted by the foster home to set up a mutually convenient time to meet the puppy or dog either in the foster home or their home as agreed between foster and potential adopter. Ample time will be allowed for the animal and the potential adopter to become acquainted, all questions will be answered. At this meeting, if both parties agree that it is a good fit, the adoption goes through.
The adopter pays a $350 adoption fee and signs an adoption and spay/neuter contract. Information on low cost spay neuter options will be provided to the adopter. Island Puppy Rescue will do follow ups to see how the adoption is going.
