Rescue FAQs

Saskatoon Dog Rescue is a rescue group devoted to saving the lives of dogs. We rescue dogs from any situation, whether it be mental or physical damage, we welcome them with open arms. Our focus is to socialize, rehabilitate and train these dogs so they can finally find their "furever" homes! One of our ongoing projects that many of us have been involved in over the past year is to go up north where there is no veterinary services. While up there we provide vaccines to dogs, along with grooming when required. When dogs are in need of extensive medical attention and the owners are willing to give them up for adoption, we take the dogs, pay for all medicals costs and find them forever homes.
We are an animal rescue based in Saskatoon, SK. Our main focus is not only rescuing animals from Northern Areas of Saskatchewan, but also helping educate the people of these communities on proper pet care. We work with these communities by doing outreach clinics that help promote healthy pet ownership. We get rescues from different areas of Saskatchewan. We get most of our rescues from overflowing shelters or from dangerous situations where medical attention is needed. We believe that every dog deserves a second chance, and lastly, that every dog deserves a happy tail!

We allow each potential adopter a one week trial period to ensure the animal is right for the household. We require a $100.00 deposit for this period, which is later either taken off of the adoption fee, or refunded with return of the animal.
