The New Haven Animal Shelter is a municipal shelter located in New Haven, CT.

Additional adoption info

APPOINTMENTS NEEDED FOR ANIMAL MEETINGS. Please call 203-946-8110 or email fotnhas.info@gmail.com for an application. Our open hours are Monday through Saturday, 12:30-4:30 and are closed on major holidays. All animals are vaccinated upon intake and altered prior to going to their new home. Fee $90 (cash only). Additional fee at the vet will apply for mandatory 3DX or 4DX testing, pain meds and antibiotics. Previously altered dogs are $45 to adopt. Proof of homeownership required(mtg statement,tax bill) Landlord approval required for renters. For dog adoptions, we require that your dog meet our dog so bring him/her/them along as well as all family members living in the household where the dog will reside.
