Rescue FAQs

We are a volunteer-based 501c3 organization formed in 2002. Over the years, we have rescued dogs from shelters all over the state, we have taken in abandoned dogs and we have accepted dogs from owners who were unable to continue to care for their pets. Thousands of adoptable pets die each year due to overpopulation and lack of options.
We do not have a shelter. All of our dogs live in private homes with families. We DO adopt out of state and have dogs in CA, MO, NE, CO, RI, MA and Canada. Our goal is to match personalities, temperament, and exercise needs to the proper family, thereby insuring a lifetime commitment.

Additional adoption info

We have an adoption application to complete and return. Our review process generally takes 1-2 days. Upon approval we would contact you to arrange a home visit and bring the dog to meet you and your family. (If out of state, we have local groups that would contact you for a home visit without the dog.)
