Rescue FAQs
SART has rescued over 1200 cats and kittens off of the streets of St. Marys and the surrounding area. We have adopted over 500, and the remaining that are with us live happily at SART in big rooms with music, toys, condos, windows, friendship and love. SART is a very peaceful place and our felines are very well cared for. We also are a shelter who TNR - we have 6 colonies in our area that are tended to daily and watched over - it is a very good way to cut the reproduction problem without taking the lives of innocent animals. SART is very proud of all that has been accomplished in just a few years, and have big goals to meet in the upcoming years to eliminate the overproduction and population problems with cats in our area.
SART is a rescue, shelter and sanctuary all in one. We serve the St. Marys, Ohio area and currently have over 300 cats and kittens in residence at SART.
Additional adoption info
There is no adoption fee, but we happily accept monetary donations to help another kitty be ready for their new home. We also accept donations listed form our donation page on our website. Initial contact is best through email so that discussion can be done as to what you are looking for, etc. and we can determine if we can help you and in what way. A contract is signed at adoption, which is done privately by appointment, stating that you will love and care for the inside pet for the length of its life.
