Additional adoption info
The Paddywack Pooches staff try to return all adoption inquiries within 2 business days. The primary goal of Paddywack Pooches is to offer safe haven to dogs who have been neglected, abused, or forgotten. Most of our adoptable animals have come from difficult situations, and before adopting them to a forever home they are kept with one of our fosters to allow for a trust bond to be re-established, and for the dog to have a period of rest and rehabilitation.
Our adoption process involves an initial application, followed by a phone interview, background check, and a home visit. Once these have been successfully completed, one of our staff will work with you to choose the perfect companion for you, your family, and your lifestyle.
We work closely with residential group homes, assisted living facilities, seniors, and veterans who are looking to expand their love to include a companion dog. Because this sometimes involves a more specialized process, we will partner with you and share our experience and background in selecting the right companion for your home, family, program, or facility.
After a match is made, an adoption contract is filled out, and we offer resources (training, nutrition, coaching on how to acclimate your new family member) to help with the re-homing process. Depending on the amount of vetting we have done with an individual dog, our adoption donation ranges from $100-$250.
