Middletown Humane Society's adoption process

Submit Application
go to our website www.middletownhumanesociety.com, do not click on a photo, please click on application. Then choose dog or cat application.
2.
Visit the Facility and Find a Pet
After your application is approved, we will schedule a day and time to meet the animals. We are open 7 days a week from 12-4pm
3.
Pay Fee
If you find an animal you would like to adopt, you would pay the adoption fee in either cash or credit card. We accept all forms of credit.

To adopt from our shelter, adopters must fill out an application, which will be considered by our manager/ asst. manager. Our adoption fees vary depending on the animals. Dogs vary depending on a variety of conditions, such as their breed, age, and length of stay at the shelter. It is best to call the shelter directly and inquire if you have a specific pet in mind to adopt.

Our small shelter was founded in 1959 and has undergone many large and small changes throughout the years. We receive no funding and survive on adoption fees and the generosity of our donors. Our shelter is dedicated to feeding, sheltering, and loving the animals that come through our door from day one until they are adopted. These animals are treated like our family until they find families of their own!
