Rescue FAQs

Our goal is to give every homeless dog a fresh start in a forever home. Each of our dogs undergoes a thorough temperament test prior to being placed up for adoption. Our adoption coordinators are all dedicated volunteers and take the task of helping you find your new companion very seriously. Please reach out to us if you have any questions!
Most of our dogs come from over-populated shelters in New Jersey, but we are happy to adopt to out-of-state residents.

Additional adoption info

To adopt a dog, please fill out a screening form. An adoption coordinator should be in touch with you within 48 hours to update you on the status of your application. Our adoption fee is $250 and adopters are asked to fill out an contract at the time of adoption. All dogs are fully vaccinated, have been micro-chipped, and are spayed/neutered prior to being adopted.
You can fill out a SCREENING APPLICATION at http://www.theshelteranimalproject.com/forms/dog-adoption-screening-form.html
