Rescue FAQs

The Benevolent Animal Rescue Committee's mission is to control the dog and cat population and find the best new home possible for abandoned pets. Our rescued dogs and cats include strays, pets turned over to us by their owners, and some that we rescue from city and county shelters. We alter every dog and cat BEFORE they can be adopted. We keep every animal until successfully placed. We take back our adopted pets for their entire lifetime. We have a network of volunteers and foster homes that help us reach our goals daily. Although we are a small group, we rescue, alter, and find loving homes for about 1800 dogs and cats each year.
BARC finds home for abandoned pets in Southern California. BARC is a non-profit animal rescue who through donations and a great group of volunteers, save thousands of lives each year... We have three locations but the one where you can come visit our animals is at 912 New York St., Redlands, CA. This location also serves as a second hand store. New and 2nd hand items go directly to save the lives of our animals. YOU CAN ALSO MEET SEVERAL OF OUR ADOPTABLE PETS AT THIS LOCATION DAILY !! We are also at PetCo in Redlands, CA every Saturday from 11AM-4PM.

Additional adoption info

We adopt out our animals with a fee of $225 or less. This fee includes all shots and getting the animal spayed or neutered.

Our animals are already spayed/neutered, are current on vaccinations. We provide an ID tag and a lifetime guarantee to take the animals back for any reason (please retain your adoption records for proof of original adoption) Our adoption donation is quite a bargain if you add up the costs of everything we include.

To make a donation please send a check to BARC, P.O. Box CD, Cherry Valley, Ca. 92223 If you would like to pledge money to spay a mother dog for low/limited income families to prevent more unwanted puppies in a future litter, please contact us as well 951 845 1513. The average cost is $100.
