About Solo Rescue And Training

We are 4 women who work together to help those families in need with help with their pets and keeping them, we help homeless pets to get vetting and rehoming safely. We do not keep animals in cages but rather in foster homes only.
We Primarily rescue kittens, puppies, German Shepherds & bully breeds (especially pit bulls), saltwater fish and corals, however take in all that we are requested and able to.

We operate solely on the directors funds, donations, and the adoption fees. If you would like to donate anything from pet food, toys, to vet care please contact us or feel free to use our paypal: solorescueandtraining@gmail.com

ALL animals are kept in homes with other animals, people, and children. We do not use runs/kennels unless it is absolutely required due to aggression issues etc. We want all our dogs to be part of the family so that the best learning of who they really are can be done in real life situations prior to you getting them. We do also work with cats, rodents (rabbits, ferrets, etc), salt water fish and corals, and other animals on a case by case basis.

We take in rescues in urgent cases; owner surrenders; and preventives to going to pound. Please contact us if you are looking for help, we will do all we can to help you.

We also help with getting vaccines and pets altered and training when possible, if we do not have it we will get you on the right path. We will do all we can to help you keep your pet and keep your pet healthy!!

We also will help those looking to adopt a specific breed and type by networking with other rescues and those looking to rehome their animal. We are able to match up those looking to rehome their pet with those looking to adopt.

Temperament testing is done, vet care is up to date, and house training done (or worked on) while in the care of Solo Rescue.

Microchipping with all adoptions, non transferable chip, you as the adopter will be added by us. Our rescue cannot ever be removed for the safety of our animals.

Adopt a Pet is the easiest way for you to search for a new pet in Milan, MI.

Support adoption and rescue. Why go to a dog breeder, cat breeder or pet store to buy a dog or buy a cat when you can adopt?

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life.

What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
