Rescue FAQs

A Tail To Be Told is a foster based animal rescue located in Fredericksburg, Virginia. We are dedicated to finding loving permanent homes for hundreds of animals each year. We aid in community education and awareness and advocate proper sterilization.
We serve the area of Fredericksburg, Virginia and the surronding areas. We do also allow out of state adoptions and occasionally pull from out of state shelters.

If you are looking to adopt a furry friend from us please email atailtobetold@gmail.com for an application for more information.
Adoption fee for kittens (under a year old) is $135
Adoption fee for adult cats (over a year) is $80.
Adoption fee for senior/special needs cats is $40
Our adoption fee includes spay/neuter, FIV/FeLV test, age appropriate vaccines (distemper and rabies), deworming, and if necessary flea treatment and demiting.

Families with children under the age of 5 will not be allowed to adopt kittens under the age of 5 months for the safety of all parties included.

All adoptions require an approved adoption application prior to adoption and then the signing of an adoption contract in order to adopt.
