All Species Kinship's adoption process

1.

Submit Application

We can send you our adoptable animal survey! It allows us to get to better know you, and what you're looking for in a companion.

2.

Interview

We will likely ask you follow-up questions but sometimes we also can arrange a meeting with you and the animal if you seem like a good fit!

3.

Meet the Pet

Meetings to happen at your home, with all members of the household present. Outside meetings only! Adoption should be a group decision.

Additional adoption info

Adoption fees are $200-$300 unless otherwise noted.

2. A.S.K. will email/Facebook you our adoption survey. Return survey either via scan/email, or snail mail.

3. Survey is reviewed and A.S.K. will call you to discuss any questions.

4. If you seem like a good fit for the dog, we will arrange a meet n' greet. This may be at a public location or your home.

5. A second meet n' greet is arranged at your home. We ask all members of your family be present to meet the dog.

Mission
To use direct-outreach methods:

to identify and reach animals, of all species in need

to prevent companion animal neglect and suffering by offering free pet supplies and services, targeting 24/7 outside dogs

to assess, humanely capture and mobilize wildlife that are injured/orphaned and transport them to highly-qualified licensed rehabilitators &/or wildlife vets that have a specality in the given species rescued; this includes transfers to accredited facilities out of state

to educate pet guardians and the general public about companion animal issues and wildlife concerns

to advocate for the enforcement of local animal ordinances

to implore a change in human values and behaviors as they relate to the treatment of companion animals; this is the underlying foundation of our direct- outreach work

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life.

What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
