Additional adoption info
Our adoption process includes filling out an application at www.rescuebulldogs.org. Once there is a possible match we will conduct a phone interview, vet checks, reference check and a home visit.
General Information:
• The average age of Bulldogs in Rescue is 4 to 6 years old. (we almost NEVER get puppies in rescue!)
• The average Adoption Fee is $500-$800
• Bulldogs placed through Rescue are Vet checked and up to date on vaccinations, have been spayed/neutered, microchipped and have had any necessary surgery done. The Bulldogs have been in Foster care so we can evaluate what home would be the best fit for the Bulldog
• We always prefer a home with a fenced yard
• We rarely adopt to homes with children under the age of 8
• Some rescue Bulldogs do not get along with other pets
• Some rescue Bulldogs require daily maintenance such as eye drops (All bulldogs require some daily maintenance such as wrinkle cleaning, etc.)
• Some Rescue Bulldogs have other special needs such as limited stairs
• We do not place female Bulldogs in homes with a resident female dog!
• We generally only adopt within an hour radius of St. Louis and Kansas City. We have some other areas in MO and Kansas where we have Volunteers that we can adopt…please inquire.
