White River Humane Society provides shelter and care for lost, homeless and neglected dogs & cats of Lawrence County, Indiana. White River Humane Society's mission is to care for the lost and homeless animals of Lawrence County while providing education and services to the public that will lead to reducing the number of unwanted animals born in our community. Each adopted animal that leaves our shelter has been spayed or neutered.
We will adopt to any person no matter their location, but we only take animals from any town in Lawrence County.

Dog/Puppy Adoption Fees vary from $150-$300 depending on age, breed, size, etc. includes Spay/Neuter Vaccinations (DHLPP & Bordetella) Deworming Rabies Shot (age over 3 months) Microchip Heart worm Test (age over 6 months) Cat/Kitten Kittens under 1 year of age $100 or 2 for $150 Cats over 1 year of age $75.00 includes Spay/Neuter Vaccinations Deworming Rabies Shot (age over 3 months) FeLv/FIV Test (age over 6 months) Cat Adoption does not include a microchip, but does allow a reduced fee for a microchip at time of adoption for only $8.
