Change For Paws

Our true passion is our TNR Program.
TNR stands for “Trap-Spay/Neuter-Release”

We target areas within Oxford County with a large number of stray/feral felines. We manage humane live traps in those areas and transport any caught feline to our veterinarian.

Each feline undergoes a series of treatments, which may include any or all of the following:

De-worming, flea prevention
Disease screening (Feline Leukemia & FIV)
Vaccinations
Spay/Neuter

This process is done as quickly as possible to reduce the amount of stress on the animal. Typically each cat is released back into the same location in which they were found within 24 hours.

We continue to monitor these "colonies" - giving them follow-up medical attention (if needed) and ensuring they are provided with all necessary means of survival in the areas they reside.

If there are any young kittens or adults that are friendly enough to go to a new home then we do our best to adopt them out. It's very important to us that as many cats as possible have loving homes while still working hard to care and supply medical treatment to those felines who are happiest outdoors.

Adoptions by donation!
Minimum donations range from $50-150

Our "Foster To Adopt" program allows young kittens to go to their new forever home with all their appointments (vaccines & spay/neuter + microchip) prearranged and included in the adoption fee. This ensures that all adopted felines receive all required medical treatments at the appropriate age and leaves nothing additional for the new owners to do at their own cost.

All felines are owned by "Change for Paws" until all vaccines, deworming, spay/neuter etc appointments are completed. If at any time the foster family does not abide by these rules, the foster contract will be void & felines removed from their care.
