Lending Paws A Hand, Inc. (LPAH) is a recognized 501(c)(3) volunteer-run, non-profit animal rescue organization that strives in making a difference in the lives of unwanted and at-risk animals throughout Lee County, NC. Our organization is committed to keeping pets safe, happy, and healthy while they wait to be placed in a forever home
North Carolina and Virginia

Adoption steps

  1. Submit Application
    Once you find a pet your are interested in, please submit an application via lpah.org/adoption
  2. Interview
    We will review/interview your references on the submitted application
  3. Meet the Pet
    Once your application is approved, we will establish a time for a meet and greet in your home
  4. Sign Adoption Contract
    If the meet and greet goes well and everyone is in agreement with adopting the pet, an adoption contract will occur.
  5. Pay Fee
    the fee for dogs is $200 and for cats $100
  6. Take the Pet Home
    Once the contract is finalized and the fee is paid, the dog can then go to its forever home!

Additional adoption info

Adoptions are $200 for dogs, $275 for puppies, $100 for cats, and $175 for kittens. All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed/neutered (if they are too young an appointment will be made when they become of age).
