The SPCA Albrecht Center is a private non-profit animal welfare organization in Aiken, SC. We have been placing thousands of needy animals into loving, forever homes for over 80 years. It is our Mission to provide for the welfare of animals by: Providing shelter for adoptable pets in our care, Providing affordable veterinary care to the public, Educating the public about the proper care & treatment of animals, Supporting the efforts to combat animal abuse, Cultivating partnerships with rescue & animal control entities, And sharing our vision with the community. We are located in Aiken, SC and serve the city, county and surrounding areas of our community.

Additional adoption info

All pet adoptions are subject to approval by SPCA staff. An adoption application must be completed, followed by a screening and interview/counseling process. Adoption requirements are listed on the application. We perform a fence check for most dogs and a vet check for all current pets. All current pets must be up-to-date on vaccinations. Please contact the shelter directly for each pet's adoption fee: 803-648-6863. All adoption fees include spay/neuter surgery, up-to-date vaccinations, testing and a microchip.
