Lucky Dog Rescue, of Darke County, OH serves the southwestern Ohio and southeastern Indiana areas, including Including Darke, Miami, Mercer, and Preble counties in Ohio, and Randolph and Wayne counties in Indiana.

Additional adoption info

Lucky Dog's adoption process is:

1) Adoption Application
2) Reference check, including vet reference to confirm diligence in maintaining pet health care.
3) Home visit, with the rescue pet, to see the environment, meet the adopter(s), and observe interactions between the rescue pet and the potential adopter(s).
4) If the potential adopter has passed each phase of the adoption process, and the pet seems comfortable in their presence, a Final Adoption Agreement is signed, specifying the adoption terms.
5) The adoption fee is paid, between $75.00 and $200.00, based on expenses of each particular pet and the amount of veterinary care required prior to adoption.
6). The pet is presented to their new family, with a new pet welcome package, including vet records, food and toys.
