Rescue FAQs

We are dedicated to rescuing dogs that have been left homeless including dogs in overpopulated shelters, at high risk of euthanasia, owner-surrenders due to difficult situations, and those in danger of abuse and neglect. Through the utilization of foster homes Paw Connections ensures that all dogs receive appropriate veterinary care and treatment. Foster homes also ensure our dogs will find the best permanent home by providing a loving environment to evaluate dog temperament and individual need. We are committed to placing dogs in a loving, responsible, and committed home through a simple but comprehensive adoption process. Finally, Paw Connections strives to educate the youth and community about dog nutrition, care, and related career fields through community events, school clubs, juvenile training programs, and the encouragement of civic engagement. Paw Connections provides all of these services through the hard work of our dedicated staff, fund-raising events, and donations from individuals that believe in our mission.
Paw Connections is a non-profit all volunteer dog rescue that serves central Kentucky.

Additional adoption info

Paw Connections does utilize a required donation adoption fee that allows us to offset some of the cost incurred on the last dog and put that toward rescuing and caring for another dog. Paw Connections does require an adoption application, a home visit to make sure that the animal is a good fit for you as well as you the animal, and the signing of an adoption contract.
