Rescue FAQs
We are a volunteer/foster based rescue that was started over 20 years ago. We pull from our local shelters, and helped start and continue to fund a local spay and neuter program. We welcome new volunteers to help with adoptions, foster, transport, events, photo's, etc.
Pup & Cat Co. is a non-profit humane society/foster home organization. We are a no-kill organization, which means we do not euthanize animals for space or financial reasons, so we ensure that every adoptable animal finds a permanent home. We have been rescuing dogs and cats for over 20 years in a number of northeast Georgia counties including Barrow, Jackson, Hall, Madison, Oglethorpe, Oconee, Clarke and Gwinnett.

- InterviewWe will call to speak with you, and go through your application and contact your vet.
- Approve ApplicationYour application is approved pending the home visit.
- Home CheckWe will do a home visit or need pictures of your home.
- Sign Adoption Contract
- Pay FeeThere is a $300 adoption fee for all dogs
- Take the Pet Home
Additional adoption info
We have an adoption application and conduct home visits and vet checks before approving a family for one of our pets. The adoption fee is $300 and includes spay/neuter, vaccinations and microchip.
