Rescue FAQs

We love Greyhounds and want to find homes for them and help promote this sweet and gentle breed. About 50% of the Greyhounds that we re-home are retired racers and the remainder are typically rescued from animal shelters, off of the streets, listed on Craigslist, or from another type of perilous situation. Many of our Greyhounds are mixed with another breed of Sighthound--oftentimes this is because they were bred to hunt. The dogs that were bred to hunt are known as Lurchers. As a bonus, many of our mix-breed dogs have had DNA testing done.
Our group is located in Lubbock, Texas. We consider all inquiries for adoption.

Additional adoption info

Interested persons are urged to contact us and let us know about themselves and what features they are looking for in a Greyhound. Home visits are part of the application process. We want to get to know you! Additionally, completion of an adoption application is required and a very important part of the adoption process. Our adoption fee is $200 for retired hunting hounds and $500 for retired racing Greyhounds. and discounts are extended for senior dogs and dogs with special needs.
