Abby Road Rescue Sanctuary

ARRS has been my dream. We purchased our home and land with rescue and senior sanctuary in mind. We provide senior sanctuary to all breeds and primarily rescue dachshunds and dachshund mixes to place for adoption. It amazing to see the life return to a previously neglected dog's eyes or see her tail wag for the first time. We often have a dog for months before the dog comes out of survival mode and begins to play and actively seek affection. It's quite simply amazing and heartwarming. Be a part of that miracle. We are located east of Dallas, Tx. We will assist adopters with arranging paid or volunteer transport to the adopted family member's new home. One paid national transporter we recommend is No Stress Pet Express run by Anna Kurz. Our favorite volunteer transport service is Liberty Ride Transport run by Rusty Miller.
