Shelter FAQs

Perth Amboy Animal Shelter is a small municipal facility that provides Animal Control Services to the local community of Perth Amboy. Our Animal Control Staff operates this full service shelter and is dedicated to successfully finding permanent homes for the shelter residents. Volunteers are always welcomed and appreciated!

Additional adoption info

All Perth Amboy Animal Shelter residents will be appropriately vaccinated, spayed/neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. You must be 23 or older to adopt from the shelter, complete an Adoption Application and pay the associated adoption fee. The application must be approved by the shelter staff and all adoptions are finalized based on the best interests of our animals. Come visit us Monday - Friday between 10am and 4pm and Saturday/Sunday from 10am - 3pm. Contact us at (732) 324-3877 and don't forget to ask about our Foster Program!

Financial and supply donations are always welcomed so that we can provide optimal care for our shelter residents. We gladly accept checks made payable to PAAS and appreciate your support!
