Yorkie Rescue Houston is a breed-specific rescue dedicated to reduce the suffering of homeless, abandoned, unwanted Yorkies and Yorkie mixes through spay/neuter, vaccination, rehabilitation, education, and adoption.

We do not maintain a public facility. All of our dogs are housed in private homes.

Adoption steps
- Submit ApplicationYou MUST register on our website and submit your application. a $20 submission fee is required.

VET RECORDS ARE REQUIRED. - Home CheckYou must send VET RECORDS. Home visits are required for puppies and first time pet owners
- Meet the PetThe whole family, including current pets must attend any Meet & Greet.
- Sign Adoption ContractAll adoptions require a contract. You must promise to never rehome the pet. This is a lifetime commitment
- Pay FeeAdoption fees vary by pet.

All pets are age appropriate spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped

For 1st time pet owners, we will ask for a personal reference (in lieu of a vet reference) and a home visit.
