Additional adoption info
To adopt a kitten/cat or puppy/dog from the Humane Society of West Louisiana, you will fill out an application form for the pet you are interested in. We do interview you because we want to make sure that both pet and owner belong together so that we can have a successful adoption, which is a loving, permanent home for the pet & that the owner gets a healthy, loving animal right for his personality. Adoption fees include; the first office visit for a physical; deworming; the first set of shots, and to spay/neuter the animal. Help save a life and adopt a homeless pet! They make wonderful pets because they are so grateful & happy to finally have a home and belong to someone. Call (337) 462-3321 or email us at HumaneSocietyofWestLouisiana. If you email us, please include your name and phone numbers where you can be reached.
Mz Rita can also be found on the 1st and 2nd Saturday of each month from 10 a.m to 3 p.m at PetSmart in Alexandria adopting out animals. Come on by and see what she has to offer.
