Whole Heart rescue and rehab

We have been operating a private rescue for many years. Taking in, rehabilitating and rehoming many abandoned, neglected and unwanted critters.Our passion is to be a soft place to land for some very needy animals. Seeing them get healthy and the absolute appreciation in their eyes is our reward. Recently we decided to turn our efforts into a non-profit. We are filed with the state and waiting on our number. This is very exciting for us. We are currently home for horses, cows, a pig, a few turkeys, several chickens, a wayward llama and a few cats that have found there way in.

Rescue FAQs

Most of our rescues are local from Linn County but in the past we have taken in animals from further away.

Additional adoption info

In order to make the best match and a good fit for our rescues and potential forever homes we have an adoption application that is reviewed by our board members. Upon approval we have an adoption agreement that ensures our rescues will have shelter, health care, feed and of course lots of love. We also offer ongoing training and support if there are issues post adoption. Occasionally we have adoptions fees for some of our rescue animals in that case all of the fees are used for future care of our current rescues.
