Rescue FAQs

A Doggie 4 You is an all volunteer organization and consists of two programs: 1) A Doggie 4 You rescues dogs from kill facilities and unsafe environments, fully vet the dogs, then adopt them to loving families 2)The Hill Country Daisy Fund helps hill country rescues in by providing monetary support for adoptable animals in shelters who have a treatable injury or illness or low income individuals who need assistance with food or veterinary care in order to keep their pet.
A Doggie 4 You relies on donations from the public to help pay for the surgeries, illnesses and other expenses that adoption fees don't cover. We predominantly serve Bandera, Kendall and Bexar county, but we rescue throughout central and south texas . Out of State adoptions are possible.

Additional adoption info

Adoption application is required. Applications are checked by contacting references and veterinarians of those with pets to ensure our pups go to the best homes possible. A picture of your home or yard may be requested

All dogs and puppies are fully vetted prior to adoption (spay/neuter, rabies, 3 DHPP, bordetella and heartworm test/treat if positive) and are micro-chipped.
Our fees start at $200, transport out of Texas is arranged by us and is generally an additional $200.
We work hard to place dogs into the right families, but sometimes we realize the fit isn't quite working out for the adopter or the pet. Our contract requires if an adoption does not work out the dog is to be returned to us. We need at least two weeks notice.
